QA Engineer → Applied AI Engineer
Eight years finding exactly where systems break. Now applying that same eye to AI. I build LLM-powered tools, automate intelligent workflows, and ask "what happens when it fails?" before the first line ships.
I spent eight years getting paid to think about failure. What breaks? Under what conditions? Who finds out first, and how bad is it when they do? That mental model doesn't go away. It sharpens.
Since October 2025 I've been deliberately retooling. JavaScript, React, LLM API integration — learning by building, not watching tutorials. Right now that means a Dutch verb app using the Notion API and early experiments with Playwright MCP for intelligent test automation.
Based in Amsterdam, completing NT2 at B2 level at Equals Academy. Targeting roles where quality thinking and AI tooling actually intersect.
Technical depth from 8 years in QA, actively extended into AI tooling and modern JS development.
Building applied tools with LLM APIs. Experimenting with Playwright MCP for intelligent automation. Interested in the integration layer where models meet real workflows.
8 years validating data flows between APIs, backends, and distributed systems. Postman, REST, JSON, browser DevTools, database checks — this is where I feel at home.
Playwright is my primary tool. Selenium experience from production environments. Shipped automation roadmaps that cut post-production test time to 30 minutes after cutover.
Self-studying ES6+ patterns since October 2025 via Scrimba and project work. Applying directly to De werkwoorden app. Python at scripting level, growing intentionally.
Test Lead across multiple Scrum teams. Standardized tooling across orgs. Translated quality signals into go/no-go decisions for product and management.
Tested across iOS, Android, web, and logistics backends. BrowserStack, real devices, EDIFACT system validation at enterprise scale.
From Manila to Sydney to Amsterdam. From test analyst to test lead to independent developer. Every step made the next one possible.
Learning by building. Every project targets a real gap in my skill set.
A Dutch verb conjugation reference app. Search, filter, and explore verb patterns across all tenses. Built as a personal NT2 study tool — and a hands-on way to learn React and the Notion API at the same time.
Experimenting with Playwright MCP to build intelligent test automation that integrates LLM reasoning. The goal: workflows that can interpret outputs, not just assert values.
Building 2–3 focused tools that demonstrate real LLM API integration — not demos, but things that solve a specific workflow problem. Will be pushed to GitHub with full READMEs.
Documenting the pivot — new projects, completed milestones, honest takes on what it means to move from QA to AI engineering. Written for the Dutch tech community and international developers.
Open to Applied AI Engineering roles in Amsterdam and remote. Interested in product teams, scale-ups, and companies where quality thinking and AI tooling meet.
